William Scharpf, D.O.
Dr. Scharpf was born in Louisville, KY, and grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, IL. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Dayton in Ohio, before attending medical school at Campbell University in Lillington, North Carolina. Trekking further south, Dr. Scharpf completed his Internal Medicine training and Neurology residency through the University of Florida College of Medicine in Jacksonville, FL. In his final year of training, Dr. Scharpf received the Outstanding Resident Educator Award for the Department of Neurology from the University of Florida Society of Teaching Scholars.
Joining Central Neurology in 2022, Dr. Scharpf practices General Neurology, treating conditions such as Headache, Dementia, Seizure, Stroke, Neuropathy, Multiple Sclerosis and more. He cares for patients in the Central Neurology outpatient clinic, as well as taking inpatient call at Bayfront Health - St. Petersburg.
In his free time, Dr. Scharpf enjoys running, cooking, live music, attempting to golf, and spending time with his wife and son.
